man, skeeter's got quite the whip there.
-pursuit frame
-pursuit bars (as he should, clearly)
-650cc front trispoke
-brakeless
-rear disc
-solid color-matched chainring (presumably carbon)
-what looks to be a MONSTER gear, based upon the tiny tiny cog and the chainring size relative to the cranks and wheels
-PLATFORMS WITHOUT CLIPS AND STRAPS!
up until that last factor, I was gonna hypothesize that skeeter was headin straight for a race... especially with the matching helmet/shirt.... but having seen
that bike with
no foot retention system, i've gotta invoke the H word. HIPSTER. he's built up an insane, expensive bike, and doesn't know how to ride it. in fact, he probably went with the 650 front for the awesomer barspinz, which, i bet, he can't actually do, since it doesn't look like he has handlebar-toptube clearance. sigh. once you've realized that skeeter's a hipster, it all makes sense; the man-pri short pants; the shoes that match his pants and shirt; the lightening bolt pattern... it's probably a retro T-shirt from Urban Outfitters. my god skeeter. you disappoint me. the only mitigating factor is that he doesn't have a top tube protector on there.
now, there's a SMALL CHANCE, that the shoes he's wearing are clipless compatible, and that his pedals are the platforms w/ clipless portions built in. if that turns out to be the case, i revoke everything negative I said about skeeter, and in fact will hazard a guess that he is actually a tokyo messenger named Skeetaru Yamamoto.
