body

part of me really wants to be a bodybuilder. i retain muscle mass really well, and have a feeling i could probably get huge.

however, it is way to insane of a sport for me.

BUT, i am gonna start doing tons of pushups and situps. should get some muscle tone back that way. i'd like to have visible striations again.

i love it

i'm sitting in starbucks on 39th, looking out the window at the KHS, locked to a post (carefully, of course, no paint scratching here (knock on wood)). this is the first time i've brought it up here, and it's nice to see the envious / puzzled looks of people walking by. the fetish used to get looks in boston, but i think here, people expect bikes to have drop bars and hoods, so they actually recognize it as a bike, whereas the fetish was just a strangely shaped piece of machinery.

excited for a bit of customization in terms of cockpit. soon, my pretty. soon.

funny biquote

"Probably the only thing that differentiates my most expensive bike from my cheapest bike is that the people who built the expensive one were over 13 years old and were fed that week."

201st post

wow, that's alot of nonsense! 200 posts prior to this one. man.

anyway, onto the meat of it:

when it rains it pours. this past weekend there were like a dozen shows on discovery health, nat geo, etc, focusing on transgendered people and sexual reassignment surgery. i think that stuff is pretty interesting, especially vagino- and phallo-plasties.

and, of course, today over lunch, there's a transgendered speaker giving a presentation (w/ free pizza!) after class. awesome.

all in all, the week's lunctime presentation schedule looked/looks like this:
mon: vagina monologues. (food = tacos)
tues: transgendered dude(tte). (food = pizza... not particularly punny... maybe it's half pepperoni, half mushrooms, or something though)
wed: sexuality in the aging population. (food = prunes, polident, and cream of wheat (kidding. another boring choice: jimmy john's))
thurs: spicing up your sex life - tips from a sex educator - SPECIAL VALENTINE'S DAY PRIZES! (food: hot dogs - i hope the hot dogs aren't the special valentine's day prizes)
fri: sexual abuse. (won't make a food joke here, but it wasn't a funny choice anyway)

i heart heart bikes

someone designed and built "the heart motorcycle." pretty awesome. ALMOST anatomically correct, too. bonus points if you can describe what's abnormal about it.

country sunset

one of my favorite made up mixed drinks is very simple. whiskey and orange juice. i think i made it up, as i can't find a name for it online. so, i'm going to christen it a "country sunset."

so, i recommend you go try a country sunset. it's delightful.

KHS stands for "kimchi hot sauce"

my new bike. (via bill and angela.)
i can't take credit for each parts choice, and having built it up myself, but they were well chosen. got my trusty saddle on there, but will soon be trying out a new one. also coming soon: shorter stem, different bars for bombing around town, perchance brakeless to play with the lower gear ratio : ) (will keep these bars and the brake hoods for longer road rides).
