Cat Again
So I was just going to sleep, and figured I'd check one last time for the cat out on my street, since it has been raining all day and I've been whistling out the front door every once in a while. I open the door, and who should be staring right back at my, but the cat, just hanging out on the porch.
I went outside and petted her for a bit, and tried to get her to go into the pet door into the basement (I figured she could hang out down there, and she and Skoney wouldn't really have to get into too close of contact right away). (I coaxed her into the garage earlier today, but when I closed the door behind her, she got a bit upset. So I don't think she will want to hang out in there til she figures out she can come and go thru the pet door without being trapped.)
Anyway, so I tried to get her into the garage, but she wasn't too interested. I then brought her around back and fed her a bit under the grill, so she could get outta the rain a bit if she wanted. I really want to bring her inside since she has no fleas anywhere on inspection, and seems really nice. Especially since Skoney is such a bitch to everybody, and this cat seems to love everyone. But she has claws, and could probably kick Skoney's ass. Although, I've let her poke her head in the door, and she doesn't seem to mind Skoney at all. On the other hand, here's Skoney reacting to her through glass. Turn up your speakers.
Yes, Skoney is making those sounds.
But, if I can keep this cat around, she'll just be my outdoor cat. And if when I move down to Wichita, I end up having to give Skoney to the lady who used to foster her, maybe I'll just relocate this one to Wichita : ) I think I'll name her Ariadne (character from a James Bond book I'm reading now).
